Cartoon Criminals (Closer)

This was recorded shortly before we called it quits. It wasn't really mastered or mixed well subsequently. There are quite a few more songs that were recorded, but lost due to our inability to keep in contact with the record studio. One day, we'll find them. Until then, I've released these to satisfy the requests that I do so...and as a somewhat less than stellar tribute to my brothers in the Cartoon Criminals (wherever they may be). It's hard to listen to these songs. They are a constant reminder of one of my greatest friends, Mike Howery (Bass). A little more than three years ago, he lost his battles with depression. I'll never forgive myself for not being there for him in his last three years prior. From now on, every project I find myself creating musically will be, in some way, a tribute to his enormous influence on me. Although the lyrics aren't necessarily about him in "Closer", he is all over it...his rolling bass lines, his feel, and his love for it. Thank you for listening.
